`WATER AND SKY  (2022)
Two Logs, Reflective Mylar Sheet, Stereo Audio

Environmental installation made with the intent to provoke the human perceptive senses of sight and sound in their entirety. Two logs sit buoyant within a creek, while a reflective sheet of mylar contrasts the sky against the water which it sits upon. Simultaneously, an installed speaker plays a soundscape composed from field recordings of the preserve in which it lives.

BANDO! (2023)

The Worth Of A Kilo (2024)
Mixed Media Series and Installation

This installation is a response to the work of David Hammons through my own lens as a Colombian-American artist. The vacuum sealed sugar prints reference the narcotic that has plagued the peace in Colombia as well as the perception of Colombians globally. These photographs, taken in Cali and Cartagena, provide a much more lively and beautiful depiction of Colombia and it’s daily environment.

19 Photographs Printed on Sugar: Inkjet Transfer on Gel Medium, Powdered Sugar, Vacuum Sealed Mylar Bag, Wooden Frame

Sculptures (Slideshow):
Colibrí (Hummingbird) - Steel, Motorcycle Gas Tank, Stereo Audio

Worth of a Kilo - Shipping Crate, Plastic Wrapped 35mm Cameras

Free Media - Salvaged Tailgate, Bumper Stickers

We Are Not Breaking Even [WANBE] (2024)
Multidisciplinary Project

This project is an ongoing exploration into the amount of plastic waste we generate and how it can be used as subject and material. Criticizing the idealization of recycling as a sustainable solution.

Arduino Programmed ‘Plastic to Filament’ Extruder

Recorded footage of polluted water banks and landfills. A self-programmed blob tracking algorithm highlights reflective surfaces, useful for identifying plastic waste. All sound is self-produced.

Strips of plastic water bottles are hand-woven into a small tapestry, warped and thermoformed into the shape of water
